'The K-38 Target Masterpiece,' a medium frame double action revolver chambered in .38 Special, manufactured circa 1977 in Springfield, MA. This is a continued model from the post-war 'K-38 Target Masterpiece.' Featuring a gloss blued finish, pinned 6" barrel with serrated sighting rib, raised partridge front sight, micrometer adjustable notched rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, color-case serrated wide curved trigger with adjustable trigger stop, color-case target hammer, wide checkered hammer spur, three screw square butt 'K' target frame, ten groove grip straps, and two-piece checkered walnut Magna target grips with S&W medallions. Revolver retains approximately 94% finish with minor handling marks, superficial scratches, a light cylinder drag line, and thinning on the rear of the trigger guard. Grips are very good condition with normal handling blemishes. Bore is very good with strong rifling, but need to be cleaned. The cylinder chambers are excellent. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up.
